Kin Yoobi
Updates: We're doing well here. We're both getting more excited about going back to the U.S. now that it feels much closer (and it is!)--only about 3 months away.
I've been a little under the weather the last few days, so I'm relaxing at home this afternoon instead of going to pottery class. A bath, some tea, soup, maybe a nap, and some fresh air on the balcony. Tonight Chris and I are going to a restaurant where you catch your own fish before you eat it :) --Sounds interesting doesn't it? I'll try to get some good pictures to add here.
I'm still taking Japanese lessons and they are going pretty well. I feel I am able to understand more than I can actually say. When it comes to "saying things in the moment" I find it hard. On the other hand, Chris is able to say quite a bit when put on the spot, but seems to understand less when listening. We balance each other out ;) He's been learning kanji over the last few months too and will be taking the Level 1 kanji test in December.

Pottery and Boutiques
Chris and I went to Tokyo to see Kaolyn's private pottery exhibit today. She has been making pottery for over 5 years.

After spending time at the pottery exhibit, we walked around to explore the area since we had never been to that particular Tokyo area before. --There are 100's of train-stops just within Tokyo--we haven't even scratched the surface of everything there is to see in Tokyo.

You can find thousands of these types of boutique stores in Japan--no exaggeration--1000s. For those who have money for boutique-priced clothing and love shopping, this must be one form of heaven. It seems you can get off at almost any train-stop within Yokohama or Tokyo and find these boutiques and cute cafes & restaurants. Some are hidden between apartment houses and down narrow alleyways--making looking for them all the more fun.

Karaoke 10-11
Saturday night we went for food and karaoke with a friend of mine from pottery and her husband. It was her birthday, so we brought cake too. We had a really good time--this was our first time going out as couples together.
(I was using google translator, but the translation might not be correct.)
